Common use of Notification of Dispute Clause in Contracts

Notification of Dispute. (a) A party claiming that a Dispute has arisen must notify the other Party/Parties. (b) Within seven (7) days after a notice is given, or within seven (7) days that a notice of a Dispute is deemed to have been received in accordance with clause 15.2 below, each Party to the Dispute must, either through themselves or a nominee, nominate in writing to the other Party a representative who is authorised to settle the Dispute on its behalf. (c) During the twenty-one (21) day period after notice is given (or if the Parties agree to a longer period, that longer period), each Party or the Party’s nominee must use his or her best efforts to resolve the Dispute.
