Notifying District Regarding Leave of Absence Status. 1. A teacher on a leave of absence scheduled to conclude at the end of a school year must, no later than April 1, inform the Board as to whether s/he wishes to return for the subsequent school year or wishes to extend his/her leave for an additional year. As an exception to the above, if the teacher's leave commenced after April 1, s/he must inform the Board no later than July 1. 2. On the completion of the leave the member shall be returned to his/her previous position or a position for which they are certified and qualified provided consistent with the Board policy.
