Nuisance and Harassment. 10.1 Expectations of you as a tenant (a) racially, verbally or physically abuse, threaten, intimidate, cause nuisance to or annoy or harass your neighbours, their visitors or family members, staff, agents or our contractors or anyone else in the area surrounding your home, block or the estate including at any local shops. (b) cause noise nuisance (including from noisy parties, shouting, fighting, screaming, dog barking, televisions, stereos, musical instruments, motor bikes and/or any other item capable of making a noise). You must be extra careful with noise in the evening or early in the morning, when other tenants may be sleeping. (c) commit a criminal offence in or around your home, the block or the estate. You and members of your household including any visitors must not engage in illegal or immoral activities like drugs and prostitution in or around your home, the block or the estate. You must not commit arson. (d) allow your home to be used in connection with the unlawful use, production or supply of drugs or any other unlawful use such as prostitution or storing stolen goods. (e) write graffiti or damage property. (f) fly tip, but must dispose of any unwanted items/rubbish in the correct lawful manner. (g) You are prohibited from keeping any pets on the premises that harm the property, or would affect later tenants or which is a nuisance to other residents, anyone we employ, agents or workers. (h) You must not use or threaten to use violence towards any member of your household or to any other person living in or visiting your home.
Nuisance and Harassment. 6.1 You are responsible for the behaviour of any person living in or visiting your home (this includes adults and children), as well as for your own behaviour. 6.2 You are responsible for behaviour in your home, on surrounding land, in shared areas (such as stairs, lifts, landings, entrance halls, shared gardens and so on) and in the local area around your home. 6.3 You must make sure that no person for whom you are responsible breaches any clause of this tenancy agreement. 6.4 You must make sure that no person (meaning you or another adult or a child), either living in or visiting your home: 6.4.1 does anything which causes or is likely to cause nuisance, harassment, annoyance, disturbance or distress to any person (including our staff and agents) who lives in or is otherwise lawfully in the London Borough of Harrow; 6.4.2 does anything which is likely to cause harassment to any person (including our staff, agents or contractors) who lives in or is otherwise lawfully in the London Borough of Harrow because of their colour, race, creed, religious belief, occupation, gender, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental disability, or any other particular thing about them; 6.4.3 uses or threatens to use verbal or sexual abuse or violence on any member of your household; 6.4.4 causes anyone who is part of your household to leave your home because of domestic violence; 6.4.5 uses your home for any immoral or illegal purpose including taking, selling or supplying any illegal substance; 6.4.6 makes false complaints about any other person; 6.4.7 damages or interferes with any property we own. a. You should be able to enjoy your home in peace. It is an important part of our agreement with you that every possible assistance is provided to achieve this. We will help you if you cannot enjoy your home because of problems caused by other people. We expect you to allow other people to enjoy their home. b. We must give you, and anyone living with you, help and advice if you report anti-social behaviour or another breach of the tenancy agreement. We will investigate your complaints, keep you informed and take appropriate action to tackle the problem. c. Examples of nuisance or harassment:
Nuisance and Harassment. 4.1 You must not do anything that is likely to cause a nuisance or annoyance to other residents, guests or staff in the residence, or to the neighbours and community around the residence. 4.2 You must not assault, threaten, harass or obstruct our staff, contractors or agents whilst they are carrying out their job. You must also not allow any guests to do any of these things. 4.3 Stereos, televisions and other noise must not be audible outside your room at any time. You should also ensure that noise created by you or your guests does not cause a disturbance to other residents. For the comfort of all residents, noise should be kept to an absolute minimum between 10.00pm and 8.00am. 4.4 Residents and their guests are expected to behave in a way that has a positive effect on others and must not victimise, harass or discriminate against anyone because of on any grounds, including age, gender, race, nationality, culture, religion, pregnancy and maternity, sexuality, disability, health, ability, status and appearance. 4.5 If you engage in any antisocial behaviour that causes noise or other disturbance to other residents or neighbours of the accommodation, you are liable to disciplinary action and your right to reside in KSS accommodation may be terminated. In this case you will be liable for the Accommodation Fees for the room until the end of your original Agreement unless KSS is able to re-let your room to another eligible student.
Nuisance and Harassment. You are responsible for the conduct of anyone that lives with you or visits you at home. You must not use, or let anyone else use, your home for illegal purposes, or to commit an offence that could lead to arrest.

(c) You or any person living in or visiting your home must not commit any form of harassment which: (i) interferes with or is likely to interfere with the peace and comfort of, or cause offence to any other tenant or any person living in or visiting your home; (ii) causes offence, or is likely to cause offence to an Officer of the Council or interferes with or is likely to interfere with the lawful business of an Officer of the Council. Examples of harassment include racist behaviour or language, using or threatening to use violence, using abusive or insulting language; damaging or threatening to damage another person’s home or possessions, writing threatening, abusive or insulting graffiti. (d) You or any person living in or visiting your home must not use your home or any communal area for illegal or immoral activity (for example, selling or using drugs, prostitution). (e) You must not inflict violence or threaten violence against any other person living with you or in another Council owned property. You must not harass or use mental, emotional or sexual abuse or violence to make anyone who lives with you leave your home. (f) If you are convicted of an arrestable offence in the locality or neighbourhood around your home the Council may consider seeking possession of your home.

The tenant is responsible for them in the premises, on surrounding land, communal areas including stairs, lifts, refuse areas, landings, entrances, parking and garage areas and in the neighbourhood around the premises. Harassment includes but is not limited to: (i) violence or threats of violence towards any person; (ii) abusive or insulting words or behaviour; (iii) damage or threats of damage to premises belonging to another person including damage to any part of a person’s home; (iv) writing threatening, abusive or insulting graffiti; (v) any act or omission calculated to interfere with the peace or comfort of any other person or to inconvenience such person.

Nuisance and Harassment. 2.1 This clause applies to any behaviour, which interferes with the peace, comfort or convenience of other people and includes any activity which amounts to discrimination or harassment on the grounds of race, sex, sexual orientation, disability, religious belief or age. 2.2 You, or any person living in or visiting your home, must not cause or do anything likely to cause a nuisance or harassment to any other person (including any authorised employee, agent or contractor of the Council) residing, visiting or otherwise engaging in a lawful activity in the locality of your home, or in or around any other property of the Council. 2.3 Examples of nuisance may include allowing noise, however it is caused, to be audible to others so that, in the opinion of the Council, it causes annoyance. This includes, for example, noise from the use of television, radio, music equipment, shouting, door slamming or offensive drunkenness. 2.4 Examples of harassment may include using or threatening to use violence, using racist or homophobic language, damaging or threatening to damage other people" homes and/or possessions, making unwelcome telephone calls, making unsolicited sexual advances, putting rubbish or other substances near or in people’s homes. 2.5 You must not use or allow your home to be used for any immoral or illegal purpose, or commit in the Iocality of your home, an arrestable offence, for example the supplying or selling of any illegal or controlled drug or substance.

For the purposes of paragraph 2.09 (b), objectionable behaviour includes, but is not limited to: i) Verbal abuse or threats; ii) Offensive remarks, jokes, innuendoes, or taunting; iii) Display of pornographic, racist, or other offensive or derogatory material; iv) Persistent unwelcome invitations or requests whether direct or indirect; v) Unwelcome physical contact such as touching, patting, pinching or punching; and, vi) Leering, badgering, or intimidating actions. Sexual Harassment is defined as unwelcome sexual advances, request for sexual favours, and other verbal, written, or physical conduct of a sexual nature when: vii) Submission to such conduct is made either explicitly or implicitly a term or condition of an individual’s employment; viii) Submission to or rejection of such conduct by an individual is used as the basis for employment decisions affecting such individual; ix) Such conduct interferes with an individual’s work performance or creates an intimidating, hostile or offensive work environment.

  • Nuisances Tenant shall not perform any acts or carry on any practice which may injure the demised premises or be a nuisance or menace to other tenants in the Shopping Center.

  • Workplace Harassment The Hospital and the Union are committed to ensuring a work environment that is free from harassment. Harassment is defined as a “course of vexatious comment or conduct that is known or ought reasonably to be known to be unwelcome”, that denies individual dignity and respect on the basis of the grounds such as gender, disability, race, colour, sexual orientation or other prohibited grounds, as stated in the Ontario Human Rights Code. All employees are expected to treat others with courtesy and consideration and to discourage harassment. ref. Ontario Human Rights Code, Sec. 10(1). Harassment may take many forms including verbal, physical or visual. It may involve a threat, an implied threat or be perceived as a condition of employment. The Parties agree that harassment is in no way to be construed as properly discharged supervisory responsibilities, including the delegation of work assignments and/or the assessment of discipline. If an employee believes that she/he has been harassed and/or discriminated against on the basis of any prohibited ground of discrimination, there are specific actions that may be undertaken. The employee should request the harasser to stop the unwanted behaviour by informing the harassing individual(s) that the behaviour is unwanted and unwelcome. Should the employee not feel comfortable addressing the harasser directly, she/he may request the assistance of the manager or a Union representative. If the unwelcome behaviour was to continue, the employee will consult the Hospital policy on harassment and will be free to pursue all avenues including the complaint investigation and resolution. The Parties agree that an employee may have a representative of the Union with her/him throughout the process, if requested.
