Common use of Number Assignment Clause in Contracts

Number Assignment. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed to, in any manner, limit or otherwise adversely impact US Dial Tone's right to employ or to request and be assigned any NANP number resources including, but not limited to, Central Office (NXX) Codes pursuant to the Central Office Code Assignment Guidelines. Any request for numbering resources by US Dial Tone shall be made directly to the NANP Number Plan Administrator. Except with respect to those areas in which GTE is the NANP Number Plan Administrator, GTE shall not be responsible for the requesting or assignment of number resources to US Dial Tone. The Parties agree that disputes arising from numbering assignment shall be arbitrated by the NANP Number Plan Administrator. US Dial Tone shall not request number resources to be assigned to any GTE switching entity. 6.1.1 Each Party shall be responsible for notifying its customers of any changes in numbering or dialing arrangements to include changes such as the introduction of new NPAs or new NXX codes. Each Party is responsible for administering NXX codes assigned to it.
