OFF FROM WORK. Section And Crown Witness A When an employee is summoned for jury duty or as a Crown witness in a court of law and must lose time from work as a result of such summons, the employee will pay to the Company any monies received for such jury or duty (not including expense monies) and the employee will receive the pay he would have received had he been working. Such pay shall not exceed straight time hours per day or straight time hours per week. Section Leaves of Absence A Leaves of absence up to calendar days, without pay and without loss of seniority may be granted (except for gainful employment elsewhere) by the Plant Manager. One unpaid Union Educational Leave of up to days will be granted each calendar year to the Plant Chairman or his designee. The timing of such leave will be subject to management's approval.
