Common use of ON-SITE SUPERVISION Clause in Contracts

ON-SITE SUPERVISION. While on site, testers are expected to communicate with the delivering plant or laboratory regarding issues on site. Issues may include, concrete quality including slump, pumpability, service including speed of delivery or on site difficulties. In addition testers should assist in liaising between the customer & plant. It is the responsibility of the tester not to allow excessively wet (> 110 slump) concrete to be discharged on site. The tester shall direct the truck to return to the plant to be dried out if appropriate. In addition the plant should be notified the load is being returned. Excessively wet concrete shall only be discharged after the customer has accepted responsibility for the load.
