Common use of Open Access (Gold Clause in Contracts

Open Access (Gold. Publishing (a) Eligible Corresponding Authors may publish their Eligible Articles in a Gold Open Access Journal listed in Schedule 1 as a Gold OA Publishing Title, with a discount of 40% of the journal’s listed APC, in accordance with the provisions below. For the avoidance of doubt, this discount may not be combined with any other available discount. If other discounts are available to the Eligible Article, the highest single discount will be applied. (b) Licensor verifies author is an Eligible Corresponding Author and issues an invoice for the current list rate Article Processing Charge, inclusive of the agreed 40% discount. If a higher discount is available to the Author, the higher discount will be applied instead. (c) workflow will be as described above in section 2. (d) the transacting author will only be offered the Creative Commons licence Attribution 4.0 International or Creative Commons licence Attribution Non-Commercial 4.0 International (CC BY or CC-BY-NC) where the journal accepts that license. Author may contact Licensor open access customer service if another licence is required. (e) Licensor publishes Eligible Article as Open Access upon payment of the APC by the Eligible Corresponding Author, transacting author or their nominated ▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇▇. (f) For any articles where the Eligible Corresponding Author does not identify or question their eligibility for the APC discount until after they have paid their APC at the regular (undiscounted) amount, Licensor will not be able to refund or partly refund the APC for the article.
