Operating Area. Participating vessels are restricted to fishing in the Gulf of Maine Regulated Mesh Area when using fishing gear capable of catching any regulated species managed under the Groundfish Plan. The geographic boundaries of the management area are, shown in the chart below. The following table includes all Federal and state permits held by persons participating in the sector, and indicates whether each permit is enrolled and will actively fish in a sector, or will be subject to the provisions of the common pool.
