Operational Authority. The Governor of the State of Georgia has designated in writing with an effective date of March 23, 2011, to implement this program statewide as well as conduct management and oversight of this program. Funding / Budgeting to administer this program is provided by Georgia Department of Public Safety. The provided funding is used to support assistance to the LEAs with customer service to include computer / telephone assistance and physical visits to the LEAs to assist with acquiring access to the LESO Program.
