Operations Employees. (Provisions specifically for employees in the Operations Department, both Licensed and Non-Licensed classifications)
A. Entry, Progression, Licensing, and Requalification of Operations Employees
(1) Except for candidates hired as Plant Control Operator in Training (PCOIT), employees will enter the NPO progression line as an Operations Helper. Upon entering the NPO training class, the employees will be promoted to Nuclear Plant Operator in Training (NPOIT). Upon successful completion of the training program, the employees will be promoted to Nuclear Plant Operator (NPO).
(2) All employees entering the NPO line of progression after May 12, 2014 (“New NPOs”) shall be required to progress to Plant Control Operator – Susquehanna (PCO). Employees already in the line of progression as of May 12, 2014 (“Current NPOs”) are not required to progress to PCO.
(3) NPO Progression
(a) NPOIT’s will progress to NPO upon completing all required qualifications in accordance with the station’s Non-Licensed Operator Training Program.
(b) Employees who are unable to complete the program or otherwise fail the training program in accordance with the NPO Training Program Procedures will be demoted to Handyman-SSS. Such employees may be allowed to re- enter the NPO line of progression only with management’s approval.
(4) Employees in the classification of NPO are required to maintain their qualification. In the event an employee has NPO qualifications that are temporarily suspended or removed the employee will be provided remediation in accordance with station procedures. If an employee is unable to regain the suspended qualifications, the employee’s NPO qualification may be revoked. If revoked, the employee will be demoted to Site Support Services. Such employees may be allowed to re-enter the NPO line of progression only with management’s approval. NPO’s will be paid a lump sum of five hundred dollars ($500.00) for passing Job Performance Measures and a comprehensive examination on the first try during annual requalification exam.
(5) NRC Initial Licensed Operator Program (ILO)
(a) When management determines to conduct an Initial License Operator (ILO) class, management will fill the training class with NPO’s, other internal candidates (posting) or external candidates as set out below.

1. If a Fire Operations person is scheduled to work overtime on a holiday, the employee shall be paid double time for all such hours worked.
2. In lieu of further compensation for the above holidays, Fire Operations personnel shall receive one hundred twenty (120) hours pay per year at their regular straight time rate as outlined in Exhibit A. Such payment shall be made on the last payday of December and shall only be made to employees on the payroll as of that date. Employees leaving the department for any reason after that date shall not be required to reimburse the City for any holiday pay. Provided, however, retirees shall have their holiday pay prorated upon retirement at any time during the year. New employees who have worked less than one year as of the last payday of December shall receive a prorated payment. An employee, at their option, may elect to convert any or all of the 120 hours compensation described above to actual time off in full day increments. Holiday payout shall be reduced by twelve (12) hours for each conversion day taken. Selection of these days shall be in accordance with the provisions of Article 10 (D) (2) a-c, and shall be made after all employees have passed on their regular and floater vacation picks. All selections shall be completed no later than November 15. Holiday conversions for the fourth slot cannot be submitted for a date after December 14th.
Operations Employees. (1) Employees assigned to operations shall work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule. The initial shift schedule shall be established with operations employees selecting the shift schedule from at least two (2) schedules provided by management. The selected schedule will remain in place on a year to year basis unless a change is requested by either party no later than November 1 of the year prior to the requested change. In such cases, management will provide two (2) schedules for employees to choose from for the following year.

Operations Employees. 2.1. [01 December 2021] is the date at which base rates of pay are increased by the agreed annual increase in clause 2.4.1. A casual loading of 25% is then applied.

Operations Employees. 6.8.1 Hours of work for employees will be 160 hours per 4 week period, averaging 40 hours per week over 19 days. (employees will work 80 hours each fortnight)
6.8.2 The additional hours required to achieve this arrangement, ie those in excess of the standard 38-hour week, amounting to 8 additional hours over each 4-week cycle, will be paid for at double time and have been factored into the base rate of pay for all purposes.
6.8.3 Operations employees are currently entitled to one rostered day off per month, which is taken on a common day (eg every 2nd Friday). Should the operation require staff on a rostered day off alternative arrangements may be made in consultation with the Supervisor.
Operations Employees. (i) There will be an overtime list for this work group. The overtime list will be developed on overtime hours to date in this workgroup. All overtime asked for, not considered for (for whatever reason), worked or declined will be documented. A worker will be charged with all hours worked or declined.
(ii) Overtime will be distributed to the operator with the fewest overtime credits who is qualified to do the work.

All overtime asked for, not considered for (for whatever reason), worked or declined will be documented. A worker will be charged with all hours worked.
(ii) Overtime will be distributed to the operator with the fewest overtime credits who is qualified to do the work.
(iii) Overtime lists will be zeroed out at the expiration of each collective agreement on an ongoing basis. Employees will keep their position on the list at the time of zeroing out.
(iv) Once overtime has been accepted, the employee is charged with the hours. If the employee does not work the accepted overtime (except for reasons outlined in Article 17 and Article 18.1), the employee will be charged with an additional equal number of hours.
Operations Employees in Wage Groups 1 and 2 who are on the active payroll on or before the 30th day of the Plan Quarter will be eligible for a Team Award with a target payout of 3%, administered in the same manner as for the Company’s management employees. The Team Award will be paid based on the team meeting or exceeding the corporate performance measures and goals defined in the Short-term Incentive Plan, as modified by the Company from time to time. The Team Award will be calculated by multiplying the award percent against an eligible employee’s paid time.
Operations Employees. Where the Employer requires an Operations Employee to be available on Standby during off-duty hours, the Employee shall be entitled to three hundred dollars ($300.00) per week.
