Common use of Optional Service Clause in Contracts

Optional Service. (1) Define War Service or such Military Conflicts as defined by the Federal Government. (a) That effective January 1, 1978, any Member of the Service may establish "Optional Service" in the existing pension provisions for all or part of such service, in accordance with the provisions of the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System Act and Regulations, and (b) Further that the payment for such "credited optional service" will be in accordance with the provisions of the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System Act and Regulations, and (c) Further that the application for such "credited optional service" will be in accordance with the provisions of the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System Act and Regulations.
