Common use of Ordinary Working Hours Clause in Contracts

Ordinary Working Hours. The ordinary hours of work for a shift worker shall be 38 hours per week averaged over one complete cycle of a roster. A shift, unless specified otherwise, shall be of eight hours, including such time as by mutual arrangement may be taken for meals. An employee’s accrued rostered day off may be changed during the currency of a roster period by agreement between SEWL and the employee. In the absence of such agreement other than in an emergency situation, 72 hours notice of such alteration shall be given to the employee.
