The ORIENTATION AND EDUCATION clause requires that individuals, such as employees or contractors, receive necessary training or informational sessions related to their roles or responsibilities. This may include onboarding programs, compliance training, or instruction on company policies and procedures to ensure that all parties understand expectations and requirements. The core function of this clause is to promote preparedness and compliance, reducing the risk of misunderstandings or errors due to lack of knowledge.
ORIENTATION AND EDUCATION. 12.01 The Employer recognizes the need for an Employer Orientation Program of such duration as it may deem appropriate taking into consideration the needs of the Employer and the employee involved. During the orientation program the employee will shadow another employee for a variety of day and evening shifts. 12.02 Employees recalled from layoff under Article 18, and employees whose probationary period has been extended may be provided any orientation determined necessary by the Employer. A request by such an employee for orientation shall not be unreasonable denied. 12.03 Where employees are required to attend mandatory training sessions they shall be paid their regular wage for the time required to attend. 12.04 Employees may be required, as part of their regular duties, to supervise the activities of students and will be informed of their responsibilities in relation to these students.
ORIENTATION AND EDUCATION. Section 7.1 Hospice will provide appropriate Hospice care orientation and continuing education to Facility staff personnel who provide care to Residents under this Agreement. Such orientation and continuing education shall be mutually approved by Hospice and Facility, and in conjunction Section 7.2 Hospice staff responsible for providing services at the Facility will complete any orientation and in-service education program(s) as required by Facility. Section 7.5 The Facility and Hospice will each maintain attendance records for the respective orientation and in-service education programs.

ORIENTATION AND EDUCATION. (a) The Hospital recognizes the need for a Corporate Orientation of such duration as it may deem appropriate taking into consideration the needs of the Hospital and the employees involved. (b) Both the Hospital and the Union recognize their joint responsibility and commitment to provide, and to participate in, education. The Union supports the principle of its members' responsibility for their own professional development and the Hospital will endeavour to provide programs related to the requirements of the Hospital. Available programs will be publicized and the Hospital will endeavour to provide employees with opportunities to attend such programs during their regularly scheduled working hours, subject to operational requirements of the Hospital.

  • Education and Training The foundation of this Program is education and voluntary compliance. It is recognized that alcohol and chemical dependency may make voluntary cessation of use difficult, and one of the Program’s principal aims is to make voluntary steps toward ending substance abuse easily available. The outside contractor shall review and develop on-going educational and training information on the adverse consequences of substance abuse and the responsibility to avoid being under the influence of alcohol or chemicals at work. Certain training required by the DOT Regulations shall be the responsibility of the Substance Abuse Program.
