Orientation of Newly Hired Nurses. During the orientation of newly 3 hired nurses, the Agency shall provide an Association representative with a thirty- 4 minute period to discuss the Association. This period will be paid time for the newly 5 hired nurses and the Association representative. The Association representative, if a 6 bargaining unit nurse, will be paid at the regular rate of pay for the assigned thirty- 7 minute period. The paid time will not count toward premium or overtime pay. The 8 Agency will cooperate in releasing an Association representative, if a bargaining unit 9 nurse, from duty to attend such meeting, and the Association will cooperate to provide 10 an alternate representative where such release would cause staffing problems for the 11 Agency. 13 The Agency will distribute to newly employed nurses membership informational 14 material provided by the Association to the Agency for such purpose. Such material 15 may include Association form authorizing voluntary payroll deduction of monthly dues (if 16 such form expressly states that such deduction is voluntary) and a copy of this 17 Agreement.
