The Orientation Phase clause establishes a preliminary period at the start of a project or agreement during which parties familiarize themselves with the scope, requirements, and expectations. During this phase, activities may include initial meetings, site visits, or the review of relevant documentation to ensure all parties have a clear understanding of their roles and the project's objectives. Its core function is to promote alignment and prevent misunderstandings by ensuring that everyone involved is adequately prepared before substantive work begins.
Orientation Phase. (For probationary teachers) (a) Work sites will also provide a mentor for each new teacher. The mentor and new teacher could involve other personnel as needed to assist in activities. Up to seven hours of release time annually may be needed in the orientation component. The mentor must agree to accept the mentoring responsibility and receive train- ing. (b) The mentor will have frequent communication with the new teacher and first- hand knowledge of the teacher’s job performance during the orientation period. The frequency of interactions may decrease but mentoring should continue to be available for the orientation period. (c) New teachers will be asked to keep a personal journal of questions, concerns, successes, and feelings to discuss with the mentor at their meetings. The personal journal belongs to the teacher who created it and will be kept by that teacher. These reflections could drive what resources are needed to assist the new teacher. (d) Areas of support could include: (1) systems information – giving information related to procedures, guidelines and expectations; (2) resources – collecting, disseminating or locating materials or other resourc- es; (3) professional information – giving information strategies related to the new teacher’s role; (4) emotional support – through listening empathetically and sharing experi- ences; (5) advice on scheduling and planning; (6) advice on working with internal and external customers; (7) co-facilitation of improvement planning, conferences, staffing, staff develop- ment activities and job shadowing experiences; (8) participation in the development of the new teacher’s professional growth plan. Outcomes from the first year’s experiences would be important factors in setting up the goals for the following school year. (e) The supervisor, in collaboration with the new teacher, is responsible for iden- tifying the mentor. The supervisor is responsible for having firsthand knowledge of the teacher’s performance during the orientation period.
Orientation Phase. The Orientation Phase occurs during the eligibility screening and assessment process. During this phase the participant will be expected to do the following:  Meet as instructed with the Drug Court Coordinator and/or Drug Court Probation Officer. They will interview you as part of a risk assessment and will prepare a written report. The purpose of this report is to collect information that will assist the Drug Court Treatment Team in assessing the participant’s eligibility to participate in the Drug Court Program and to inform the assigned judge’s decision whether to grant your request for Drug Court.  Meet as instructed at the Lake Area Recovery Center in order to undergo a complete substance abuse assessment.  Sign any necessary releases of information.  Become familiar with the location of the service providers and address any issues of transportation and/or employment.  Review the participant handbook and the participation agreement with your defense counsel. You should discuss any questions you have regarding your eligibility and desire to participate in the Drug Court Program with your defense counsel.
Orientation Phase. During the Orientation Phase participants gain a thorough understanding of Renewal Court requirements and complete the assessment process. During this phase participants are expected to do the following: • Meet as instructed with the Renewal Court Administrator and Renewal Court Probation Officer. Participants will be interviewed to determine their eligibility to participate in Renewal Court and to inform the Renewal Court Judge’s decision whether to grant their request for Renewal Court. • Meet as instructed at Community Counseling Center or Signature Health to undergo a complete mental health and substance use assessment. • Sign a Release of Information form. • Become familiar with the location of the service providers and address any issues of transportation and/or employment. • Review the participant handbook and the participation agreement with your defense counsel. • Remain law abiding Movement through the Orientation Phase occurs once all assessments and relevant forms are completed.

  • Orientation The Employer shall provide planned and paid Orientation Programs of such content and duration as it deems appropriate taking into consideration the needs of the Employer and the Nurses involved. Such Nurses will not be considered part of core staffing during their Orientation Program nor will they be provided with primary assignments.

  • Orientation Program The Company will allow a designated representative of the Local or Bargaining Unit up to one (1) hour per calendar month for the purpose of conducting the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union New Members’ Orientation Program. Such meetings will be conducted during the probationary period of employees, and will be held on Company premises. Employees participating in Orientation Program meetings during their normally scheduled working hours will not suffer loss of pay at their regular rate. Orientation Program meetings will be scheduled by Management and a Management representative may attend as an observer.

  • New Hire Orientation The Union’s Business Representative or designee shall be given the opportunity to make a membership presentation at the employer’s regularly scheduled new employee orientation sessions.
