Other Forms of Leave. (i) Nothing in this agreement limits the facility for the principal to apply to the board for leave with or without pay in any circumstances not specified. (ii) Nothing in this agreement shall limit the authority of the board to grant to the principal such special leave, whether with or without pay, as the board considers appropriate to enable the principal to undertake professional development. The board shall have regard to the need to ensure that the principal receives professional development appropriate to the requirements of the position. (iii) The board may grant an agreed amount of leave with or without pay to principals to increase their knowledge and skill in Te Reo and/or Tikanga Māori.
