Common use of Overnight Rest Clause in Contracts

Overnight Rest. During the rehearsal period there must be twelve (12) hours clear between the end of one day’s rehearsal (or performance if that is later) and the call to work on the next day. The company in consultation with Equity may decide by secret ballot to agree to reduce this period by one (1) hour for an individual production. For invasion of the overnight rest period, the Theatre shall pay to the Artist the rates specified in Clause 1415. (See also Clause 1620, Overnight Rest Period.)
