Owner's Right to Award Separate Contracts Clause Samples

The "Owner's Right to Award Separate Contracts" clause grants the project owner the authority to engage multiple contractors independently for different portions of the work. In practice, this means the owner can hire separate firms for tasks such as electrical, plumbing, or landscaping, rather than relying solely on a single general contractor. This clause ensures the owner retains flexibility in managing the project, potentially optimizing costs, timelines, or specialized expertise, and helps prevent disputes over the owner's ability to coordinate multiple contracts simultaneously.
