Ownership of Data and Other Assets Sample Clauses

The "Ownership of Data and Other Assets" clause defines which party holds the legal rights to data, intellectual property, or other assets created, provided, or used during the course of an agreement. Typically, this clause specifies whether ownership remains with the original owner, is transferred to the other party, or is shared, and may address issues such as the return or destruction of data upon contract termination. Its core function is to prevent disputes by clearly allocating ownership and usage rights, ensuring both parties understand their rights and obligations regarding valuable assets.
