Parent Involvement/Conferences. (1) The Provider shall encourage the formation of, and provide technical assistance in, organizing parent organizations, which shall, to the greatest extent possible, have elected officers. Schedules of parent organization meetings shall be prepared by no later than November 1 of each school year that the Agreement is in effect, and maintained on site. (2) The Provider is encouraged to organize and operate two parent-teacher conferences during the course of each school year that the Agreement is in effect. Such conferences should be held in consecutive school terms. (3) The Provider shall, upon a parent's reasonable request, hold an individual parent conference in order to discuss matters relating to the provision of special services or programs to the student. (a) The Board shall notify the provider, in accordance with the SOPM, of the effective date for commencing the provision of special education itinerant services under the Agreement. (b) As used in the Agreement and in this Attachment B, "CPSE" refers to an internal unit within the Board's structure of the Committee on Special Education ("CSE"). The use of such organizational device is not intended to avoid any of the Board’s legal obligations. It is understood that references to the "CPSE" shall include the CSE. (c) As used in this Attachment B, "SOPM" refers to the Board's internal Standard Operating Procedures Manual published on-line in School Year 2012/2013 and ay amendments to the SOPM about which the Provider is notified.

  • Parent Conferences A. 1. Elementary and exceptional education schools shall be dismissed early a minimum of four (4) half days during the school year to grant teachers time for parent-teacher conferences.

  • Professional Conferences Professional conferences are those conferences sponsored by educational organizations, institutions of higher learning, and government and industry concerning teaching, learning and educational research. When a full-time or part-time faculty member’s attendance at a professional conference conflicts with his/her regular assignment, the faculty member must submit a request for attendance to the appropriate ▇▇▇▇, Director, or Supervisor. If granted, the attendance at the conference will be considered leave with pay, and a follow-up report of the conference shall be submitted to the appropriate Supervisor.

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences A. Unit member shall be available at mutually arranged times during the regular school day to confer with parents regarding learning difficulties, student progress and/or behavioral problems a student may be experiencing. Unit members are encouraged to arrange a meeting or conference with parents before or after the regular school day if both time and place are mutually agreeable. B. In the event that a bargaining unit member does not communicate with a parent on the established date for parent unit member conferences as per the calendar adopted by the Board, a reasonable attempt to contact that parent will be made. A reasonable attempt constitutes a phone call or email. If that contact is not returned, the bargaining unit member shall not be obligated to make further contact.

  • SPECIAL CONFERENCES Special conferences for important matters will be arranged between the Association or individual employee and the Employer or its designated representative upon the request of either party. Such meetings shall be between at least two representatives of the Employer and at least two representatives of the Association.

  • PRE-JOB CONFERENCE a) The Employer shall notify the union that a project has been awarded to the Employer following the award. Prior to the start of each project, a pre-job conference shall be held to determine all site-specific issues as outlined in the Agreement. This conference may be conducted via telephone, through a scheduled meeting or by some other practical means as agreed to by the parties. b) A copy of the pre-job conference report shall be provided to the Employer, the Union and the Job ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ (s). A copy shall also be posted on the bulletin board(s) at the jobsite.
