Part Payment. a. The daily rate and the formula for calculating the daily rate shall be defined as 1/200 of the current annual salary of the employee. b. Whenever a salary deduction or adjustment is calculated on a daily basis it shall be on the basis of the appropriate daily rate of the employee's existing annual salary at the time of absence. c. For teachers commencing after the first day in the school year their first month shall be calculated for days taught in the month in accordance with the appropriate daily rate. Each subsequent month shall be "on" scale as provided by the salary schedule. d. Teachers leaving the district's service before the last teaching day in a month shall be paid on a pro rata basis according to the number of teaching days in that month. e. When an employee is employed on a less than full-time basis, and that employee is required by the Board to work beyond their normal hours of employment, that employee shall be remunerated in accordance with their daily rate. f. Teachers who are going on an approved leave without pay before the end of the month will be deducted at the appropriate daily rate for all regularly scheduled teaching days remaining in that month.
