PART-TIME/CASUAL EMPLOYEES Sample Clauses
The 'Part-time & Casual Employees' clause defines the terms and conditions that specifically apply to employees who are not engaged on a full-time basis. It typically outlines the distinctions between part-time and casual employment, such as differences in working hours, entitlements to leave, and pay rates. For example, part-time employees may have set regular hours and receive pro-rata benefits, while casual employees might work irregular hours and receive a loading in lieu of certain entitlements. This clause ensures that the rights and obligations of both the employer and these categories of employees are clearly established, reducing ambiguity and potential disputes regarding employment conditions.
