Part-time Hiring. Recommendations for the hiring of part-time instructional staff shall be the responsibility of the department chair with as much consultation with the full-time faculty in the subject as is practical and with the approval and concurrence of the ▇▇▇▇.
Part-time Hiring. The Company shall not hire, schedule, or otherwise employ temporary employees, part-time employees or students to replace full-time employees or prevent the recall of full-time employees on layoff or while full-time employees are working fewer hours than their normal hours of work per week. However, none of the above provisions shall prevent the Company from employing such temporary, part-time or student help as is required to fill vacancies due to illness, vacation or leave of absence, and during peak business periods which includes weekly business fluctuations.
Part-time Hiring. In part-time contracts, the reference used shall be the weekly work schedule. For any other matters, the terms provided under legislation in force from time to time shall apply.

Employees paid on a fixed partial monthly basis who work less than the regular part-time schedule shall have time deducted at the hourly rate.
