Common use of Partial Prepayment of Certificates Clause in Contracts

Partial Prepayment of Certificates. Upon surrender by the Owner of a Certificate for partial prepayment at the Principal Office, payment of such partial prepayment of the principal amount of a Certificate will be paid to such Owner. Upon surrender of any Certificate prepaid in part only, the Trustee shall execute and deliver to the registered Owner thereof, at the expense of the District, a new Certificate or Certificates which shall be of authorized denominations equal in aggregate principal amount to the unprepaid portion of the Certificate surrendered and of the same interest rate and the same maturity. Such partial prepayment shall be valid upon payment of the amount thereby required to be paid to such Owner, and the District, the Corporation and the Trustee shall be released and discharged from all liability to the extent of such payment.
