PARTS USED Clause Samples

The "Parts Used" clause defines which parts, components, or materials are permitted to be used in the performance of a contract or in the manufacture of goods. Typically, this clause specifies whether new, refurbished, or previously used parts are acceptable, and may set standards for quality or compatibility. For example, it might require that only new parts be used in repairs, or allow for used parts if they meet certain criteria. The core function of this clause is to ensure that the quality and reliability of the final product or service meet the agreed-upon standards, thereby reducing disputes over the condition or suitability of parts used.
