Common use of Patent Collateral Clause in Contracts

Patent Collateral. all (i) letters patent and applications for letters patent throughout the world, including all patent applications in preparation for filing anywhere in the world; (ii) reissues, divisions, continuations, continuations-in-part, extensions, renewals and re-examinations of any of the items described in clause (i); (iii) patent licences and other agreements providing such Grantor with the right to use any of the items of the type referred to in clauses (i) and (ii); (iv) rights to ▇▇▇ third parties for past, present or future infringements of any patent or patent application, and for breach or enforcement of any patent licence; and (v) proceeds of, and rights associated with, the foregoing (including licence royalties and proceeds of infringement suits), and all rights corresponding thereto throughout the world (all of the foregoing being herein collectively called the “Patent Collateral”);
