Common use of PATENTS IN NAME OF LICENSOR Clause in Contracts

PATENTS IN NAME OF LICENSOR. Unless otherwise agreed in writing between the Parties, or unless otherwise required by the legislation of a particular country in which a patent application in respect of any Licensed Technology may be made, all patents solely developed, created or invented by the Licensor (except for patents on jointly owned inventions, which will be jointly owned by the parties and prosecuted in the joint names of the Licensor and Licensee) will be solely owned by the Licensor and will be prosecuted in the name of the University and the Parties will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that all documents and things are executed and done by Parties or their employees, agents or representatives to secure the grant of such patents in the name of the Licensor.
