Pay Shortage. The Library agrees that whenever an employee suffers a substantial pay shortage through no fault of the employee, the Library shall make whole to the employee the full amount due within two (2) work days from the time the incident is substantiated.

Pay Shortage. As a result of discussions during the negotiations, with respect to pay shortages, it was agreed that should a significant (more than $20.00 in net pay) shortage occur, the employee may report such shortage to the Payroll Department and, if verified, an adjustment shall be made the same day.

If your pay is not corrected on the next paycheck, contact your Local Station Representative to file a grievance. The agreed upon remedy is 3 hours of regular pay for every paycheck the Company is late in correcting the pay shortage that is less than 1/2 a day’s pay. The inconvenience shift premium is $100 added to your paycheck for each month that at least 4 shifts, which begin after 12:00 noon and before 5:00 A.M., are on the agent’s bidded shift. When you have more than one scheduled start time each week, you will be paid an extra premium each month as follows: YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EXTRA ON YOUR 20TH PAYCHECK IF YOU HAVE … START TIMES EACH WEEK THAT VARY BY MORE THAN 29 MINUTES

  • Cash Shortages No employee may be required to make up cash register shortages unless he or she is given the privilege of checking the money and daily receipts upon starting and completing the work shift, and unless the employee has exclusive access to the cash register during the work shift and unless cash is balanced daily, except as specified below. No employee may be required to make up register shortages when Management exercises the right to open the register during the employee's work shift, unless the register is opened in the presence of the employee and the employee is given the opportunity to verify all withdrawals and/or deposits. No employee shall be held responsible for cash shortages unless he or she has exclusive access to his or her cash.
