Common use of Pay While on Christmas and Spring Break Layoff Clause in Contracts

Pay While on Christmas and Spring Break Layoff. Regular employees laid off over Christmas and Spring Break shall receive regular pay charged against their accrued vacation pay except for those days paid in accordance with Clause 20.01. Such employees may be advanced up to five (5) days of vacation pay beyond their earned entitlement, specifically during Christmas and Spring Break. The employee recognizes the Board's right to recover unearned vacation pay from the employee's pay if the employment relationship is terminated for any reason.
