Common use of Payment in Lieu of Benefits Clause in Contracts

Payment in Lieu of Benefits. a) Part-time employees shall receive six percent (6%) of total earnings in lieu of benefits and sick leave payments except part-time employees who work twenty-one (21) hours per week or more, who are subject to Article 30. b) For purposes of this Article, total earnings do not include prior payments made under this Article or any vacation pay pursuant to 16.06 above.
