Common use of PAYMENT OF EMD Clause in Contracts

PAYMENT OF EMD. 5.1. The tenderer should pay an EMD amount of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousands only ) by way of Demand Draft/ Bankers cheque from a Nationalized/Commercial bank drawn in favour of the Joint M anaging Director, TCMPF Limited, Chennaipayable at “Chennai”. The tender not accompanied with Demand draft towards the prescribed amount enclosed with the Part I Technical bid will not be considered. If the tender is submitted through e – tendering, then the EMD should be dropped in the tender box before the closure time.
