Common use of Permits and Certificates Clause in Contracts

Permits and Certificates. CONTRACTOR shall procure, at its expense, all necessary permits, certificates and licences required by virtue of all applicable laws, regulations, ordinances and other rules in force at the place where any of the works is to be performed, and CONTRACTOR further agrees to hold IREL harmless from liability or penalty which might be imposed by reason of any asserted or established violation of such laws, regulations, ordinances or other rule. IREL shall provide the necessary permits for CONTRACTOR's personnel to undertake any work in India in connection with CONTRACT.
