Common use of Permitted Outside Clause in Contracts

Permitted Outside. Activities The Executive will not carry on or engage in, directly or indirectly, any work or business which in the reasonable opinion of the board of directors of Pine Valley Coal (the "Board") is not in the best interests of Globaltex and its subsidiaries or detracts from the proper discharge of the Executive's obligations under this Agreement. For greater certainty, the Executive may hold outside directorships with businesses that are not in competition with Globaltex or its subsidiaries so long as the Executive has not been advised by the Board that in its opinion holding a particular directorship is contrary to the Executives obligations under this Agreement.
