In order to ensure that potential conflicts of interest are avoided, employees who are in that position are strongly recommended to advise me in the first instance in order that I can decide whether this affects your ability to carry out your role in a professional manner. Any such information will be treated in the strictest confidence. I fully acknowledge your right to privacy in your personal affairs. However, experience has shown that the effect of such relationships can affect your work and should conflicts of interest arise this could cause me to lose confidence in your integrity and reliability.
