Physical Change Clause Samples

The Physical Change clause defines how parties will address significant alterations to the physical conditions of a project site or property during the course of a contract. Typically, this clause outlines the procedures for notifying the other party if unexpected physical changes—such as subsurface conditions, structural modifications, or environmental hazards—are discovered. It may also specify how costs or timelines will be adjusted to accommodate these changes. The core function of this clause is to allocate risk and provide a clear process for managing unforeseen physical developments, thereby minimizing disputes and ensuring project continuity.
Physical Change. Forest Service shall adjust the Specified Road construction cost if, prior to acceptance under BT6.36, a physical change, caused by a single event and not due to negligence of Purchaser, results in an increase or decrease in work and/or materials furnished by Purchaser involving additional estimated cost of:

Physical Change. A physical change, for the purposes of this Service Attachment, means the modification of an existing circuit, at the request of Customer, requiring physical change or re-termination of the circuit.

  • Physical Examination The Employer, at its own expense, shall have the right and be given the opportunity to have a medical doctor appointed by the Employer examine, as often as it may reasonably require, any employee whose injury, sickness, mental or nervous disorder is the basis of claim upon this Plan.

  • Physical Examinations The District shall provide the full cost of any medical examination required as a condition of employment or continued employment.
