Common use of Picket Lines Clause in Contracts

Picket Lines. (a) Faculty members covered by this Agreement shall have the right to refuse to cross a legal picket line arising out of a strike as defined in the Labour Relations Code of B.C. or in the Canada Labour Code. (b) Failure to cross a picket line encountered in carrying out the Employer's business shall not be a violation of this Agreement nor shall it be grounds for disciplinary action. (c) Faculty members will not receive pay for work not performed as a result of observance of picket lines.
