Playground Supervision. Noon-hour playground supervision shall be provided in the elementary schools by non-teaching personnel.

Playground Supervision. Where a teacher is required to undertake lunchtime supervision, such duty shall be so rostered as to allow a fair and reasonable meal break.

Such a policy must contain provisions that: (a) specify the levels of training to be provided to employees; (b) ensure appropriate levels of support and assistance; (c) recognise that the introduction of playground supervision should not increase existing workloads of employees without commensurate increases in their paid hours of work unless playground supervision takes the place of another of the employee’s tasks. This requirement will not apply where employees were already undertaking playground supervision as at 1 July 2008.

Playground Supervision. 4.2.2.1 Each elementary teacher who accepts responsibility for playground supervision shall receive an annual allowance of 5.25% maximum of Class VI. 4.2.2.2 The allowance paid to each teacher who supervises more or less than one (1) hour per day shall be pro-rated.
