Pledge to a Security Trustee Sample Clauses

A Pledge to a Security Trustee clause establishes that a borrower or obligor grants a security interest in certain assets to a trustee, who holds these assets on behalf of a group of lenders or creditors. In practice, this means that instead of each lender taking a separate security interest, the security trustee acts as a central party to manage and enforce the security rights collectively. For example, in a syndicated loan, the security trustee would hold collateral such as shares or receivables for the benefit of all participating lenders. This arrangement streamlines the administration of security interests, ensures consistent enforcement, and protects the interests of all creditors by providing a single point of contact for managing the pledged assets.
