Pledgor Remains Liable under Contracts Sample Clauses

The "Pledgor Remains Liable under Contracts" clause establishes that, even after pledging certain contractual rights or interests as collateral, the pledgor retains all obligations and liabilities arising from those underlying contracts. In practice, this means that if a borrower pledges the benefits of a contract to a lender as security for a loan, the borrower is still responsible for performing all duties and addressing any breaches or claims under that contract. This clause ensures that the act of pledging does not transfer contractual responsibilities to the secured party, thereby protecting the secured party from unintended liabilities and clarifying the ongoing obligations of the pledgor.
