Plural or Singular Clause Samples

The "Plural or Singular" clause defines how words in a contract should be interpreted regarding their number, specifying that terms used in the singular form also include the plural, and vice versa. In practice, this means that if a contract refers to a "party," it is understood to also refer to "parties" where appropriate, and the same logic applies to other nouns and pronouns throughout the agreement. This clause ensures consistency and prevents disputes over interpretation by clarifying that the meaning of terms is not limited by their grammatical number, thereby promoting clarity and reducing ambiguity in contractual obligations.
