Point of Shipment Clause Samples

The Point of Shipment clause defines the specific location where goods are considered to be delivered by the seller and where the risk and responsibility for the goods transfer to the buyer. In practice, this clause identifies a port, warehouse, or other designated place from which the goods will be shipped, and it often determines when the buyer assumes liability for loss or damage during transit. By clearly establishing the shipment point, this clause helps prevent disputes over delivery obligations and risk allocation between the contracting parties.
