Common use of Position and Level Clause in Contracts

Position and Level. Employees awarded the position shall be paid as follows: (a) if the position is in the same level, no pay increase will apply; (b) if the position is in a lesser level a pay change may occur due to the lesser level’s maximum; (c) if the position is in a higher level, then HR will review the employee’s skills, experience, and current base salary relative to the new salary range for the position, and recommend a new base salary if it is warranted. The new base salary will not be less than the minimum of the new salary range.
