Position Upon Return. An employee returning from an approved leave of absence shall be assigned to the position of employment held by the employee when the leave commenced if available or vacant. In the event the position is not available or vacant, the employee will return to a position for which the employee is legally qualified and shall be entitled, if a Teacher, to all provisions of Article VII (assignments, vacancies and transfers). The primary consideration shall be that continuity of instruction for the students be maintained to the maximum possible degree.
