Post-Accident Alcohol Testing. a. Whenever possible, post-accident alcohol testing shall be conducted within two (2) hours of the accident. b. If testing is not administered within two (2) hours of the accident, the Employer must prepare and maintain a record stating the reason the test was not promptly administered. c. If testing is not administered within eight (8) hours of the accident, the Employer shall cease attempts to administer an alcohol test. d. An employee required to be tested under this section is prohibited from consuming any alcohol for at least eight (8) hours following the accident or until after the breath alcohol test.
