POSTING AND INFORMATION. 7:01 The employer agrees to provide and to install a bulletin board. 7:02 The Union shall have the right to post notices of meetings and elections signed by an authorized representative of the Union. 7:03 Any other notice, signed by the authorized representative of the Union, can be posted as long as the employer has previously received and approved a copy of the same. 7:04 On January 1st. the Company will issue the Union an up to date seniority list containing each employee’s name, date of hire and latest address on file with the Company. 7:05 In the event of the total closure of Transportation: a) The Company shall notify the Union at least three (3) months prior to the cessation of operations. b) Following such notification, the Union shall have the opportunity to discuss and explore with the Company any possible means of averting the closure. c) If attempts to avert the closure are not successful, the Union and the Company representatives shall meet to discuss the manner in which the closure is carried out, with consideration to such things as relocation, retraining, and methods of payment, job market assistance and retirement options. d) In the event of termination caused by the permanent shutdown of the Sarnia facility, affected employee(s) shall be paid one week per year of service. Each week of severance will be calculated on the base rate, i.e. 4 days x 10 hours x base rate. 7:06 The employer shall notify the Union of all disciplinary measures taken against an employee covered by this Collective Agreement.
