POWER SURGE Clause Samples

The POWER SURGE clause defines the responsibilities and coverage related to damages caused by sudden increases in electrical power. Typically, this clause specifies whether losses or damages to equipment, appliances, or systems resulting from a power surge are covered under an insurance policy or contract, and may outline any exclusions or limitations, such as coverage only for surges caused by lightning or utility company faults. Its core function is to clarify the extent of protection against power surge incidents, helping to allocate risk and prevent disputes over coverage in the event of electrical damage.
