Common use of Power to Create Lien and Security Clause in Contracts

Power to Create Lien and Security. The Mortgagor has full power and lawful authority to grant, bargain, sell, assign, transfer, mortgage and convey a security interest in all of the Mortgaged Property in the manner and form herein provided. No authorization, approval, consent or waiver of any lessor, sublessor, Governmental Authority or other party or parties whomsoever is required in connection with the execution and delivery by the Mortgagor of this Mortgage except to the extent the approval or consent of the Department of the Interior, United States of America or similar Governmental Authority, as the case may be, is required by applicable law or regulation to the transfer or assignment of an interest in any of the Mortgaged Property.
