Pre Shift and Post Shift Overtime Lunch Period. (a) Employees required to work pre-shift and post shift overtime shall be relieved as follows: (1) Pre-shift and post-shift overtime is overtime that is worked immediately before or immediately after a regular shift. (2) Overtime of less than two (2) hours: No additional break time. (3) Overtime of two (2) hours: Employee will be paid an additional twelve (12) minutes of overtime at the end of their two (2) hour overtime assignment. (4) Overtime of more than two (2) hours and less than three (3) hours: Employee will be paid an additional eighteen (18) minutes of overtime at the end of their overtime assignment. (5) Overtime of three (3) hours and less than six (6) hours. Employee will receive a thirty (30) minute paid lunch break. Whenever operationally possible, this break will be provided approximately two (2) hours into the overtime assignment. (6) Provided the employee has worked a minimum of three (3) hours from the time of call-back, the employee will be eligible for one (1) meal allowance of twelve dollars ($12.00). The meal allowance will be paid through the payroll process. This provision does not apply to schedule pre-shift or post-shift overtime. Employees working unanticipated emergency overtime as an extension of a shift of three (3) hours or more will be eligible for this allowance.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement.

  • Duty-Free Lunch Period All teachers shall be entitled to a thirty-five (35) minute duty free lunch period.

  • Minimum Break between Shifts (a) Where it is necessary to work extended overtime, it is agreed that no Employee shall resume or continue to work without having had ten consecutive hours off duty between the termination of the overtime and the commencement of the Employee’s ordinary work on the next day or shift. (b) In the event that an Employee agrees to a request from site management to resume or continue to work without having had ten consecutive hours off duty, the Employee shall be paid at double ordinary time rates until the Employee is released from duty for such period.

  • Lunch Period Employees who work five (5) hours or more shall be granted a thirty (30) minute, duty-free, uninterrupted lunch period, which may or may not be during the normal lunch hours.

  • HOLIDAY COMPENSATION FOR TIME WORKED 111. Employees required by their respective appointing officers to work on any of the above designated or observed holidays, excepting Fridays observed as holidays in lieu of holidays falling on Saturday, shall be paid extra compensation of one additional ▇▇▇'s pay at time-and-one-half the usual rate (i.e. 12 hours pay for 8 hours worked) or a proportionate amount for less than 8 hours worked. At the employee's request and with the approval of the appointing officer, an employee may be granted compensatory time off in lieu of paid overtime pursuant to the provisions herein. 112. Executive, administrative and professional employees designated in the Annual Salary Ordinance with the "Z" symbol shall not receive extra compensation for holiday work but may be granted time off equivalent to the time worked at the rate of one-and-one- half times for work on the holiday.
