PREAMBLE/PURPOSE. Section 1.1 Purpose This Agreement, entered into by the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ County Sheriff of Marion, Ohio, hereinafter referred to as the “Sheriff” and the Marion Dispatchers Bargaining Unit of the FOP/OLC hereinafter referred to as the "Union" has as its purpose the following: A. To promote cooperation, orderly, constructive and harmonious relations between the Sheriff, its Employees and the Union. B. To comply with the requirements of Chapter 4117 of the Ohio Revised Code; and to set forth the full and complete understanding and agreement between the parties governing wages, hours, terms and other conditions of employment for those employees included in the bargaining units as defined herein; and, C. To establish a procedure for the peaceful resolution of grievances. This Agreement supersedes all previous Agreements (either written or oral) between the Sheriff and the Union. It is understood that the use of headings before Articles is for convenience only and that no heading shall be used in the interpretation of said Article nor affect any interpretation of any Article.
