Common use of PREAMBLE/PURPOSE Clause in Contracts

PREAMBLE/PURPOSE. SECTION 1.1. This Agreement, entered into by the Belmont County 911, hereinafter referred to as the "Employer", and the Fraternal Order of Police, Ohio Labor Council, Inc., hereinafter referred to as the "F.O.P. OHIO LABOR COUNCIL", has as its purpose the following: To comply with the requirements of Chapter 4117 of the Ohio Revised Code; and to set forth the full and complete understandings and agreement between the parties governing the wages, hours, terms and other conditions of employment, for those employees included in the bargaining units as defined herein. SECTION 1.2. To provide a fair and reasonable method by which employees covered by this agreement can participate through their exclusive bargaining agent in the establishment of terms and conditions of their employment, to promote harmonious relationships, and to establish an orderly procedure for the resolution of differences between the Employer and the members of the bargaining unit.
